General Information

Course Description:

To understand the structure, operation, and functionality of FPGA devicesas well as using the related tool chains. Coding for FPGAs, including implementation of logic, processor cores and software for the processor(s). Examples, exercises and project work will provide hands on experience. Basic knowledge of VHDL or Verilog is mandatory. Group work is exceptional and only possible for the final project.

 

Credit points:     5 ECTS

Grading:    0-5

Evaluation:    25% exercises, 25% practical exam (in class), and 50% final project.

Preliminary Knowledge:    HDL (VHDL or Verilog)
